withoutawing: Her champion for a time and for awhile, she was distressed to find that her god on the rise had regressed to a general lost and confused. He shuns her, denies her, and yet there's some part of her that refuses to let go, even as she is indeed slowly letting go. But he owes her. He owes her for her time, her commitment, her power, her life, and she's not going to let him forget her so easily. Kadaj /
adventlead: With Sephiroth ever so far removed, Kadaj has unofficially taken up that mantle as Jenova's second in command. She'll never let him believe that he's second to his predecessor, however true or false it may be, but she has subtle means of filling him with doubt, but only because she wants him to be better. She tends to conceal when she is displeased with him, but his insecurities often figure her out, as she'll sometimes entrust duties to his brothers instead. At the same time, he's the one that she is most protective of, the one that seems as if he needs her to be a mother much more than the others, and she indulges him to that extent. He is the one that she sees most, the one she worries about most, and the one that will most likely become her primary host when she is liberated. Yazoo / --- : Upon her second return, she seemed to hint that perhaps it would be Yazoo to take the nearest place at her side. With the success of his mission to forcibly induct Reno, she was exceptionally pleased, and appeared to hold him in great favor, much to his brother's dismay. In some ways, she believes that he is the most like Sephiroth, going so far as to say that he acts "just like him". To that end, she is able to deal with Yazoo practically, realistically, and perhaps in a way that is better suited to her biological makeup.
Loz /
wrecks_meanies: Her ... muscle, in a word. She knows she can rely on him to handle her dirtiest, head-busting jobs if necessary, and she knows he'll enjoy it. When she required a hospital raid for supplies, she knew who to send, and he certainly did deliver. She realizes just how sensitive he is, and caters to this in a manner similar to Kadaj, though the hidden agendas are considerably less where Loz is concerned. She is always at her tenderest with him, careful and encouraging, and mindful of his emotional tendencies. She also knows that he is the least likely of the three to ever doubt or question her. prodigal_axe: Shinji. Jenova could've killed Shinji at one point, and for a time, she was certain that if, and when, she got her chip removed, she may have had to. His relationship with Kadaj infuriated her like no other, and yet ... she enjoyed speaking with him, liked listening to him, and debating his theories on what he had to say. But she could always sense him trying to distance Kadaj from her, compelling him to find a purpose beyond her, and that she did not like. She never outwardly disapproved of their relationship, but she is indeed glad that it's over.Minato /
purgatory_maren: Slightly more tolerable by degrees, Jenova found herself liking Minato from the start. She approved of his openness toward her, his openness in seeking her approval, and entertained the idea of recruiting him to her forces, as he seemed more impressionable, more willing to let Kadaj have his way than the more obstinate Shinji. However, she's beginning to realize that even he will eventually become an obstacle to be removed. But this displeases her, as she can certainly see what he does for Kadaj, and she'd much prefer it if he simply turned a blind eye, because she knows the last thing he's going to want to do is choose a side when the time comes, inevitable as that decision may be.Riku /
waywardislander: The newest adoptee into the family, whether he knows it or not. Even without her "sight", she can sense something in him, something worth keeping, worth harvesting, in fact, and she's quite taken with him. He came to her aid during a surgical mishap, becoming one of only a very slim few that she'd actually let near her, and in her own domicile no less, during her time here in Discedo. She's keeping an eye on this one, and in playing her cards right, hopes to make this ... "adoption" absolute. Cloud /
makoed: The failure. Cloud is a nuisance, a royal pain in her you know what, and she really wishes Sephiroth would quit playing games and kill him already. She misses the good old days when all it took was a push, but she's still convinced that it won't take much to drive him to the edge. Second only to Sephiroth, his is the head she'd love to get into most at this time.Aerith /
woreapinkdress: The Ancient. A bigger nuisance than the failure himself, this girl has thwarted her one time too many, and her very nature threatens everything that Jenova stands for. She's kept her distance until now, and will perhaps continue to do so until she deems necessary, but the irony of her current relationship with Sephiroth hasn't escaped her notice. The truth is, Jenova much prefers her alive, as she's caused her greater pains when she was more than six feet under.Reno /
nomakothx: The Turk. She can't even begin to take him seriously, which may be an influence of Sephiroth's memories as well as what she's seen of him and his counterparts to date. She realizes that he's even more likely than Cloud to spread the word about her, which quickens her distaste, but she made plans to nip him good, courtesy of Yazoo. As of now, he is also a cell carrier, safe only as long as her chip will allow. More to come ...

personality; As a purely instinctual and aggressive entity, Jenova is virtually hard-wired for destruction, uniquely specialized toward genocide. In her travels through space, she has purged entire planets to extinction by way of massive infection. Beyond her primary network of contamination, she is mostly hollow, generally incapable of sincere emotions beyond imitation. Most of what she knows about emotions and behavior has been learned through inference, observation, and human contact. With the scattering of her cells to human hosts, her catalogue has significantly increased, and she can tap a rather wide range of human emotions. While she is naturally stoic, her long term capture and imprisonment gave birth to the one emotion that she has truly mastered—anger.
Essentially a virus, it should come as no surprise that Jenova is a master of infiltration and control. Armed with limitless tools of manipulation, including but not limited to shape shifting, telepathy, and mind control, she possesses all the faculties of a good puppeteer. She has a way of getting under the skin that is both fearsome and effective, and ensures that once contact is made, some part of you will always be hers.
While Jenova is inherently selfish, she is not above the humoring of another life form be it conducive to her purposes. Her relationship with Sephiroth thrives upon this notion and she seeks to protect him solely upon the basis of self-preservation, his strength and his overall capacity to re-enact her revenge, though she has made a fine show of convincing him otherwise.
background; Approximately two thousand years ago, Jenova traveled through space on the remnants of a planet destroyed, ultimately crash landing on Gaia, where she encountered the Cetra peoples. After deceiving them through means of shape shifting, appearing to them in the form of their deceased kin and beloveds, she infected the majority of them with a terrible blight that killed off most of the race. Prior to her descent, Jenova was responsible for the death of numerous planets, stars, and easily wiped out an inestimable count of life forms. The Ancients scarcely managed to survive her onslaught and united to seal her presence in the Northern Crater, where she would remain for several centuries until her discovery and excavation by Professor Gast.
The bind of the Ancients delivered her into a catatonic state of immobility and minimal consciousness while ShinRa’s research team continuously robbed her of her powerful and unique gene structure. Having been mistaken for an Ancient, Jenova was the central component of the project that spawned Sephiroth and a number of his failed successors and predecessors. When her true nature was revealed by one of the last surviving Ancients, Ifalna, Professor Gast, shaken by his folly, halted the Project and relocated Jenova. A few years later, however, his research was continued under ShinRa’s new head scientist and Gast’s former apprentice, Professor Hojo. He devised a plan to breed the ultimate SOLDIER, which was accomplished through the impregnation of fellow scientist, Lucrecia, and the injection of Jenova’s cells into her womb. From this process, Sephiroth was born and would progress to become one of ShinRa’s top SOLDIER and valuable asset.
Years later, Sephiroth would stumble upon the inaccurate data detailing Jenova’s origins in ShinRa’s Nibelheim based mansion. From this information, he deduced that she was his mother and began a rapid descent into insanity that ended with the razing of Nibelheim and a showdown with his former comrades at the Mako reactor where Jenova was contained. Unable to transport her body due to mortal injury, he severed her head and dove into the Lifestream with it, where he proceeded to absorb her essence, power, and knowledge. In bonding to him, they later managed to recover her body and further the mission to overcome the Planet. She challenged Cloud Strife and his party on three separate occasions, and fused with Sephiroth during his final confrontation, where they both went down together.
With her demise, Jenova’s cells were dispersed through the Lifestream, essentially poisoning it, so that when the Lifestream rose to combat Meteor, the Planet was exposed to the contamination. Thus was the creation of Geostigma, which would provide an alternate pathway for Sephiroth’s ascension to godhood. Sometime two years after Meteorfall, her remains were collected from the Northern Crater and held hostage by Rufus ShinRa. She was later claimed by Kadaj, one of three remnants spawned from Sephiroth’s will, and assisted him in becoming the legendary SOLDIER himself. Unfortunately, Sephiroth met yet another tragic end and was banished back to the Lifestream.
